SUMMARY:Nukutae Waka Whānau wānanga 
DESCRIPTION:Closed Event\n\nThis two-day wānanga is designed to equip whānau with practical knowledge and confidence around safe sleeping for pēpi\, enabling them to share this important information within their waka ama clubs.\n\nAs part of a wider hauora approach for clubs across the rohe\, this wānanga supports the wellbeing of both pēpi and whānau through kaupapa grounded in care\, connection\, and prevention. The theme\, “Every Sleep is a Safe Sleep\,” reinforces the importance of consistent safe sleep practices.\n\nSafe sleep messaging from the Safe Sleep Foundation will be facilitated by Tāne\, with support from Hāpai kaimahi. Smokefree messaging will also be woven throughout the wānanga\, highlighting the importance of maintaining smokefree environments to support the health and wellbeing of pēpi and whānau.
