World Smokefree May 2026 – “That’s Us” Quit Campaign Competition Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

This competition is run by Hāpai Te Hauora Tāpui.

2. Eligibility

Entry is open to residents of Aotearoa New Zealand who complete the official World Smokefree May 2026 sign-up form during the campaign period.

Only one entry per person is permitted.

Employees of Hāpai Te Hauora are not eligible to win any major prize.

To be eligible to win a major prize, participants must be actively attempting to stop smoking tobacco during the campaign period. Hāpai Te Hauora reserves the right to verify eligibility using the information provided in the sign-up form and any follow-up contact with potential winners.

3. Campaign Period

The competition opens on 13 April 2026 and closes at 11.59 pm on 31 May 2026.

4. How to Enter

To enter, participants must complete and submit the official World Smokefree May 2026 sign-up form during the campaign period.

Only one valid entry per person will be accepted.

5. Prizes

There are eight major prizes to be won during the campaign period.

Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

6. Grocery Shop Prize

For the grocery shop prize, the winner will be asked to nominate a grocery store or supermarket in their area.

Hāpai Te Hauora will arrange up to NZD $800 in vouchers for an approved retailer, subject to availability.

7. Winner Selection and Notification

Winners will be randomly drawn from eligible entries, with draws commencing on Sunday 10 May 2026.

Winners will be contacted using the contact details provided in their sign-up form.

If a winner cannot be contacted within 7 days of the initial contact attempt, Hāpai Te Hauora reserves the right to draw another winner.

8. Winner Publicity

By entering, participants agree that if they are selected as a winner, Hāpai Te Hauora may publish limited winner information for promotional purposes, including their first name and reason for quitting, on Hāpai Te Hauora social media channels and related campaign communications.

Any request to share a winner’s wider quit journey or story will be discussed separately with that winner.

9. Privacy

Personal information collected as part of this campaign and competition will be used to administer the campaign, verify eligibility, contact participants and winners, manage prize distribution, and provide support referrals where requested.

If a participant asks to receive support from a stop smoking service, the information required to make that referral may be shared with the selected service for that purpose.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and Hāpai Te Hauora’s Privacy Policy.

Personal information will only be kept for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and is intended to be deleted by 31 July 2026, unless it is required to be retained for lawful administrative purposes.

10. General

By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Hāpai Te Hauora reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition if necessary.

The decision of Hāpai Te Hauora in relation to the competition is final.
